# 9 Week 4 -- finding feeds

Well, this exercise was a little more complicate to me because of my lack of knowledge on RSS and News feeds. I'm still get confuse on those concepts, but I think I got the basic information. Since I don't really follow any news web page or blogs, it was a little of a challenge trying to find pages with rss. On using the search tools I found that:

• topix.net was the most appealing to me. It has many news feeds on its front page, which make it easier for me to follow a story.
• syndic8.com has a very hard look, almost too intimidating.
• technorati.com has a very pretty way to set up videos, music, movies [ I like the fact that they link the movies to imdb.com which is my favorite site for movies info ]
• feedster.com very boring. Plus, whenever I search for a topic, the only useful link will be the first one.

# 8 - week 4 -- RSS

Hello again! This week I learn about RSS - something that I have never heard of before. I don't know if this only happened to me, but the CNET Video: RSS – Feel the Need for Feeds didn't work. I tried to watch it on 2 computers, but the video kept freezing. Anyways, what I understood about RSS is that it helps get all your information sites in one place by subscribing to bloglines.com ^_^ It's great only if you read 10 sites a day or so. I see that for many people it will save time, but I still don't see for the average-computer-challenge people like me any help at all. ^^ ... well, unless one can just log in to see what others are reading.
I set up a bloglines account with just basic subscriptions. I'm suppose to add the link to my bloglines account.. but i can't find the way to do it. I'll keep trying and for next exercise I will add the link. ^_^

# 7 week 3 : technology

My home computer is a Macintosh and I love it. Even thou, my husband dislike it because there are not many applications that are compatible. ( mostly video games! ) ^_^ But he just surprise me, last week he came home with the brand new ipod shuffle. i was surprise at how small it is. It has a very good sound... for a tiny player! ^^ My husband is in *love* with the ipod. I just hope his love will spread to my Mac computer too!
